Who can create a humble gift, and give you along with their hearts in their hands?
Who’ll give you flowers when there’s no occasion?
Who holds your words highly?
Who will fear your aging more than you?
Who teaches you when you thought you couldn’t learn more?
Whose existence is a reminder that God is Great, and you are not alone in this world?
The answer of course, is Your Children.

Who advises you to be your best but loves you anyhow?
Who takes care of you when you are sick but suffers quietly when she is?
Who feels so lucky you exist that she would celebrate your every birthday if she could?
Who teaches you to spread your wings, yet prays for your safety and guidance when you are not home?
Who is ever glad to see you and easily forgives all your mistakes?
Who will work endlessly to offer you the most costly gifts, beginning with education?
Who’ll defend you with all her strength even if you’re both old?
Who ever held you more proudly and holds you more worldly?
Who still teaches you when you think you’ve become too smart for yourself?
Who does God create first to give us a guardian angel before we are even born?
Who will give you your space but will always hold your hand if you ask her?
