The Belize Social Security Board is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Service Delivery Officer.


Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Communications, Economics or closely related discipline with three (3) years working experience
Associate Degree in Business, Management, Communications, Economics or closely related discipline with five (5) years working experience

Role-Specific Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
• Knowledge of Social Security Board’s mandate, vision, mission, organization structure and service standards.
• Knowledge of program delivery methods, techniques, and practices.
• Knowledge of conflict resolution, coaching, teambuilding, and mentoring techniques.
• Knowledge of change management techniques and practices.
• Knowledge of financial management principles.
• Skills in interviewing and fact-finding.

Client Service Result: Effective case management of client applications for Social Security benefits from initial receipt through assessment, adjudication, and payment to file closure.

Summary of Key Activities and Responsibilities:
• Implement and manage the execution of approved service offerings;
• Review and analyze applications for programs to determine if eligibility requirements are met, to ensure that all required information and documents are presented, to investigate any extraordinary circumstances related to the application, and to conduct factfinding interviews with clients and employers;
• Render payment decisions with respect to eligibility and entitlement to benefits with due regard for individual situations, terms and conditions for receipt of benefits, and reasons for entitlement or non-entitlement to benefits;
• Critically review and analyze Internal Audit and other result-indicative reports and take appropriate steps or propose appropriate solutions to address service and operational issues;
• Prepare appeal submissions filed by clients, and advise clients on the procedure and format for appeal presentation.
